Appointments

bp_checkPlease advise the receptionist if your appointment is urgent.

If you have just been to the hosptial, please check with the receptionist that we have received a letter about you before you make an appointment to see the doctor.

We operate an 'advanced access' system for appointments, whereby all GP appointments may be pre-booked by any of our patients up to 4 weeks in advance. Any one requiring an 'on the day' appointment will be seen by our Nurse Practitioners at Debenham Surgery ONLY.

For these on the day appointments  you should ring after 8.00am.

Our Nurse Practitioners have received specialised training and are able to treat minor illnesses and many conditions that you would normally see a GP for, they are also able to prescribe just like a GP and if necessary refer you onto secondary care.

  • People who find it difficult to attend weekday appointments

Suffolk GPs and Nurse Practitioners are delivering Suffolk GP+ in Ipswich, in Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket & Wickham Market. They have access to GP practice patient notes.
